Thanks Barb. Btw the latest info on Darkness single is that in Oz it's been put back again now to 6th December. Here in UK, HMV now have it as unavailable [img]confused.gif[/img] WTF is going on? Amazon only have the CD2 version available to pre-order but it looks like it's release date is going to be put back again here too!

Could it be the parental advisory thing they have on it? Perhaps it still needs to be approved. Same way that at the cinema you can see previews for movies that haven't been classified yet.
On the other hand could it be a better date for release against other CD's? Who else was due with something new that week and is there one for early Dec?

Apparently Darren's management have requested the single be held back for a while, as there was just too much competition in the UK at the moment. However, they are hoping it will be released early next year.

It'll be interesting to see if it ever does materialise and if so, how well it does. Personally, I think it's a great song but I still don't believe that it'll make a good 'single'. 'I like the way' would be a better choice imho. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Imean come next year theres just as good or bad artists releasing singles. Your song has to stand on its own and fight its own battle. That's interesting about waiting. I agree their reason seems to lack something concrete in the logic department. The only thing about Darkness is that we are very close to Christmas and perhaps it is more the time of year than competition.
By saying that they are worried about other artists just leaves me with the feeling that they have little confidence in Darkness or this is a very important release in respect to the future and they don't wanna screw it up. I guess I can see some point to it but am left wondering if it's a case of "Chart Fright".
and alas this week Popular is gone!
I think it was wise to delay Darkness as Australian Idol 2 finished yesterday and Idol mania is in full swing here [img]eek.gif[/img] and the single being released is about as good as the previous winner's one [img]graemlins/cry.gif[/img] but it will sell, sell, sell.
Delta's album only lasted 1 week at #1 with Eminem's album, Encore sweeping in to #1 this week [img]rolleyes.gif[/img] Prior to Delta, Robbie William's Greatest Hits held the #1 position for 3 weeks.
